Peninsula C (Docklands, Victoria Australia) – Jasmine + Sok’s Big Wedding Extravaganza!

Jasmine + Sok Wedding

Recently we were given the opportunity to shoot Jasmine and Sok’s wedding.  It was a great summers day and we arrived quite early to capture the morning preparations..  From the onset we could tell that this was going to be a fun day as both the bridal party and the groomsmen were in a festive mood!  I guess it is fitting as it was our first wedding for this year and why not start one off with a bang!

We started the day visiting Sok and his groomsmen Rithy, Kosal, Judah and Phalla at their apartment in the docklands, where they had an awesome view. After they quickly dressed we took some photos around the hotel.  The boys giving me their best boy band impressions.

The girls in the meantime were getting ready in the same building on a lower level. (Guess it truly was the last time Sok had the upper hand)  Jasmine and her bridesmaids, Rosie, Prilly, Trinh and Emmy were in the midst of getting their hair and make up done by Dannii when we arrived for photos.

The colour of the day definitely was teal as both the bridesmaids wore teal dresses and the groomsmen wore teal handkerchiefs.  There was even teal balloons!

Once everyone was ready.. we made our way to Peninsula C where the wedding ceremony was held.  It was an intimate ceremony with just family and friends, little did we know the big party that was going to be in store later on in the evening.  Once the ceremony was done, we all went outside where everyone was given a balloon and they were released into the sky to signify start of their new lives.

STOP….  HUMMER TIME!!

We all boarded the stretch hummer and travelled around town to take photos with the bridal party before making our way back to the reception where the Bride and Groom danced the night away with friends and family!

It was a great wedding and we at Moving Pixels would like to thank both Jasmine and Sok for allowing us to participate in their wonderful day.

Wattle Park Chalet (Surrey Hills, Victoria Australia) – Matthew + Kaori’s All You Need is Love Wedding!

Matthew + Kaori’s Wedding

November is always the start of wedding season for me.  Summer, heat and weddings!  Matthew and Kaori’s wedding started off this wedding season and what a wedding it was!

To start with.. the car used to drive them around all day was actually the car that drove The Beatles when they were in Melbourne in 1964!

We got to both Bride and Grooms houses relatively early as they got ready.  On the brides side.. Kaori’s nephew was constantly running in and out giving his personal stamp of approval as well as jumping all over our photographer Jason.

We then hopped into our car and made our way to the grooms side where Matthew and his three groomsmen were ‘suiting” up for Matthew’s big day.  With a little last minute flower adjustments from mum.. the groom was ready to go and get married…

The actual wedding ceremony was a short walk from the groom’s house at St. Scholastica’s Parish where the couple exchanged their vows and became husband and wife!

Once the ceremonials were taken care of.. it was time for family and friends to make their way to Wattle Park Chalet to dance the night away!

It was a lovely reception and the perfect place for Matthew and Kaori to celebrate their love with friends and family.  Guests were greeted on the lawn with drinks and canapés before making their way to the dining hall where they had dinner and laughs all round.

We would like to congratulate the newly wed couple and wish them both a long life together filled with love and happiness.  Thanks for letting us at Moving Pixels capture your wonderful wedding!

All you need is Love.  Thats what the Beatles said..  Matthew and Kaori’s wedding proved it.

Royal Exhibition Gardens (Fitzroy, Victoria Australia) – Isdi and Jen Melbourne Pre Wedding Photoshoot!

What an amazing afternoon, another fun pre-wedding photography session. Jen ,the bride to be, wanted to take photos in a field: tall grass, breath taking scenery so I thought why not try a Canola farm. Our team scoured for the right location and found the perfect place, which was located only 50 mins from Melbourne.

It was one of those typical Melbourne weeks where the weather was sporatic and unpredictable but that did not stop us. Below are some highlights of the day. I hope that you enjoy the photos. Once again, congratulations to you both. Moving pixels wishes you both a wonderful life together filled with only fun and laughter!

Parliament House (Melbourne, Victoria. Australia) – Tanto + Shervia’s Wedding Pre-Shoot

Tanto & Shervia’s Wedding Pre Shoot

I was thrilled when Tanto and Shervia contacted Moving Pixels to have a pre-wedding shoot in Melbourne. The couple flew from Indonesia and I did not want to dissapoint. The problem with photographing iconic landmarks is that I am competing with thousand of postcard images and millions of vacation snapshots . My challenge was to photograph recognizable landmarks and offer a different perspective.  Tanto and Shervia had a wish list of locations that they wanted to have pictures of and we did our best to get them all.  In particular they really wanted the Brighton Bathing Boxes.   We made our way down there in the afternoon and although it was a little chilly, we were able to take quite interesting photos!

We then made our way to the Victoria Barracks for some more pictures before finishing our day at Parliament House!  I hope you guys enjoy your pics.. It was a pleasure taking them for you both!

Royal Botanical Gardens (Melbourne Victoria, Australia) – Elaine + Leo’s Pre Wedding Photoshoot

Elaine + Leo’s Pre Wedding Photoshoot (2012 The Knot.Com.au Competition Winner)

This year Moving Pixels had a competition in conjunction with The knot.com.au.  The winners won a free photoshoot with us.  Elaine and Leo were one of our lucky winners.

We shot the lovely couple at the Royal Botanical Gardens in Melbourne recently on a Sunday afternoon.  We decided to go with an apple theme… because we liked the idea of apples being a symbol of love.  The “apple” of ones eye if you will…

The shoot was great fun and we had a lovely time shooting with both Elaine and Leo.  Its easy to see why they are in love with one another.  At one stage while shooting, a swan decided that she was not to be upstaged by the lovely couple and decided to crash the photoshoot.  The lovely couple also took the opportunity with this shoot to take photos for their thank you cards.

Moving Pixels wishes the lovely couple all the best for the future and congratulations on their up and coming nuptials.  We are sure it will be a celebration filled with memories to last a lifetime!
